Councillor Janice Loughlin at a mobile library threatened by the Conservatives' latest service cuts.
Conservative councillors at Essex County Council are planning a series of cuts that are already biting into services provided for the more vulnerable members of the community.
The Conservatives have taken magazines and journals taken out of libraries in Essex, without any public consultation.
Now the Conservatives are planning to drastically reduce the number of places that the mobile library service visits each week. The public consultation will be very limited.
Lib Dem Cllr Janice Loughlin comments "Despite their claims to the contrary, it is becoming clear that the Conservatives' plan to reduce spending by £100,000,000 is hitting the most vulnerable people the hardest."
